Summer Scheme

ibk ran a hugely successful inclusive summer scheme in July 2008.

There was a range of workshops and activities on offer to help students think about what they would like to do when they leave school. The summer scheme was held at The Centre in the Park, Sheffield from Monday 21st July to Friday 25th July 2008 from 9.30am-3.30pm.
This was a free inclusive event for Y12-Y14s from Talbot School and Y9-10 from Newfield School. There was a range of workshops on offer including dance, drama, music, art, games, massage and photography.
The focus of the week was on having fun and making friends. We were looking at what the young people would like to do when they leave school. Young people left the week with a personal portfolio outlining their wishes for the future.

The ibk team are very grateful to the following for their invaluable help: All workshop leaders, all support workers and volunteers, the young people and their families, Centre in the Park, Ryegate House, Rushey Meadow, Woodview Care Home, Shefftax, Mercury Cars, Novotel Sheffield and the National Lottery for its Awards For All grant.
